Type Locality and Naming

The type section is located in a belt extending from the east of the Kangma County Town to the Baidingpu area, Tibet. It was named by Zhang Binggao in 1974.


Lithology and Thickness

Sandstone: Light-grey quartz-sandstone. Thickness is about 30 m.

Fossils

Brachiopods as represented by the Stepanoviella fauna and simple Coral such as the Pleramplexus, whose features are similar to those faunas found in the Jilong Fm of Dingri area and in the Pangduo Gr of the Lhasa area.
